Creating long, seamless lines up your legs is a pageant must, here are UK Beauties' top tips of how to show of your pins with a great pair of heels:

So that's the objective girls, to make your legs look as long and seamless as possible!  There are a couple of ways you can achieve this:

  1. Small platforms: A small platform of around 1-2inches under the ball of your foot will make whatever shows you wear, a lot more comfortable to walk in.  Avoid the 3-4 inch towering wedge platforms you see in fitness competitions and stick for a more subtle (and less wobbly!) alternative.

  2. Buy clear or nude shades: If you only invest in one pair of pageant heels, stick to nude or clear.  They will look great with your evening gown and bikini, and will make your legs look long, lean and endless.

  3. Add rhinestones: If you head down to your local habberdasherie or Hobbycraft store, you will find an abundance of sparkly gems and rhinestones that you can add to any pair of heels to give them a little extra sparkle!  RHinestones go especially well with nude or clear heels.

4.  Buy a brand: Tony Bowls and Johnathan Kayne pageant heels are a good place to start.  These two brands are two of the best in the
industry and have been worn by Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss America winners for years.

5.  Avoid straps: Having straps across your foot break the seamless look you're going for, so keep straps to a minimum.  UK Beauties favours the understated, elegant look.  Make sure you can also walk easily in whatever heels you buy, and keep the design simple.

6.  Don't buy to high: High heels make you look confident, classy and elegant but wearing heels that are too high make you look uncomfortable, wobbly and let's face it, a little to try-hard!  When you wear your evening gown, the hem of your dress should ski the floor, and in your bikini, you can tone up your legs with some good squats to make them look long and leaner in your pageant heels.  The ideal heel height is whatever is most comfprtable for you.
