2014 NATIONAL FINAL

Date and Finalists
Sunday 23rd March 2014
Out of the many entries we received this year for Mrs UK World, we are pleased to announce that we have selected 10 National Finalists! The number of entries we received doubled from last year and the standard has also been higher. Potential contestants were required to submit a dvd presentation featuring themself and their husband, their family, their achievements so far and ambitions. Our 10 inspirational finalists include; a cooking and nutrition presenter, an educational psychologist, a fitness instructor, a nurse, an airline stewardess, a beauty business owner, a teacher, an image consultant, an actress and an ecuational business woman. All of our finalists are unqiue, happily married and give something back to their communities.
This is a closed event and attendance is by invite only.

The Venue
Beaconsfield, South Buckinghamshire

Our National Final is being held at a large executive home in Beaconsfield. Drinks, tea and seminars will all be upstairs, food will be served downstairs.
Food and refreshments will be provided for finalists and their husband throughout the day. Please let us know if you have any allergies, or require gluten free food, or are vegetarian. Any extra adults who attend to look after finalists' children will be charged at £20 for the day, which includes arrival drinks, lunch, dinner and light refreshments. Please let us know if you are bringing along any extra adults who require feeding.
Please do not park in the drive of the venue as we require access to set up the stage and camera equipment. Parking on the road outside the house is the best idea, with parking on single yellow lines being unlimited on Sundays. Alternatively, you could leave your car at the Travelodge and walk or catch a taxi to the venue (it is around half a mile so a taxi may be a little expensive, but you have the option). The venue is 0.2 miles from Beaconsfield Train Station, which runs on the Chiltern line between Birmingham and London.

Judges and The Judging Process

The finalists will be competing in three sections which represent the types of clothes that our winner would need to take to Mrs World: interview attire, fashion wear and evening wear. During the interview attire round, finalists will be asked a question on stage - probably something related to their dvd presentation, charity work or passion. The final score will be split as follows:
Who the finalists are based on their dvd and interview session: 40%
Personal presentation based on what they wear, onstage question & interview session: 30%
Presence on the catwalk: 25%
Bonus points based on the judges other comments: 5%
Our judging panel includes; 2 CEO's. 2 beauty queens, and two marriage experts. Judges will be looking for all of the above, plus bags of confidence, a chaitable heart, and an inspirational attitude!

Charity Fundraising
All National Finalists are required to raise a donation towards our charity work. Finalists can either raise money for CAP and 2equal1, or do a suit drive for Dress4Success. They are encouraged to do anything to raise money - from selling cakes at the school gates, to organising a charity run, to spraying their hair green for the day, or waxing their husband’s legs...the finalist who provides the most for our charities will be awarded the title Mrs Charity UK.
The chairites we are supporting this year are as follows:
2equal1: a marriage ministry, which supports and encourages couple in heir marriages and families;
Christians Against Poverty: a money management website to help those struggling with debt;
Dress4Success: A female empowerment programme aimed at disadvantaged women which provides them with smart clothes to wear for interiviews, to secure jobs and to train them to be more competant and confident women.
